Legacy Letters

“Families are united more by mutual stories—of love and pain and adventure—than by biology.”—Daniel Taylor

You’ve written your legal will, but there wasn’t any place in it for the truly important things, like the values and love that you want your heirs to remember. A legacy letter or ethical will can be a non-binding companion to your legal will in which you share advice, values, hopes, and dreams with your loved ones.

Legacy letters are typically 2–8 pages in length. I will provide you with an outline to help you organize your thoughts. You can choose either to write your thoughts yourself or record an interview with me that I will then transcribe into a rough draft of your letter. We will then work together to edit your thoughts into a polished legacy for your heirs.
